Hello, I'm Washington Fonseca
Founder & CEO of WF Business Excellence Consulting LLC
With over 25 years of global experience in Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, and Business Process Improvement, I have dedicated my career to helping organizations build disciplined, high-performance operations.
My background combines deep technical expertise with executive-level leadership across manufacturing, supply chain, and complex service environments, including Oil & Gas, Electronics, High Tech, Defense, Chemicals, and Industrial Manufacturing.
I hold an MBA in Business Management, a Master’s Degree in Production Engineering (Quality & Productivity Specialization), and a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering. My technical foundation is strengthened by international Lean Six Sigma certifications (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, and Lean Manufacturing), advanced executive training at the GE Global Learning Center, and ISO 9001/19011 auditor credentials. These qualifications—combined with decades of hands-on global experience—allow me to bring structure, clarity, and strategic rigor to every engagement.
As a consultant and former Operational Excellence leader in multinational organizations, I have:
- Implemented and led Lean Six Sigma programs across regional and global operations, training and mentoring professionals—from shop-floor specialists to C-suite executives.
- Executed World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives, establishing process discipline, reducing waste, and elevating operational efficiency.
- Developed and deployed strategic management systems such as Hoshin Kanri, OKRs, Balanced Scorecard, and KPI-driven governance frameworks.
- Facilitated complex problem-solving through advanced analytics, statistical modeling (Minitab), and data-driven decision-making methodologies.
- Led manufacturing and supply chain transformation in industries such as Oil & Gas, Electronics, High-Tech, Defense, Chemicals, and Industrial Manufacturing delivering measurable gains in cost, quality, delivery performance, and operational resilience.
- Expertise to apply methodology on the ground, such as DMAIC (LSS Projects), WCM (World Class Manufacturing), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), VSM (Value Stream Mapping), KAIZEN events (Continuous Improvement), Hoshin Kanri, OKRs, BSC Management (Balanced Scorecard), SQDCC mind set and KPI-driven governance systems.
